LOTTERY Its another story from Me again, but the theme of this one is different. In the past stories, Zordon wrecked havoc on our neighborhood. In this one, Zordon won't be causing any problems. Instead, I'm going to tell You, and My friends, what I would do if I won the lottery. Why am I writing this story? As of this writing, the New York Lottery is going to give away 45 Million Dollars. It's a time when it comes on the news, and people rush to grocery stores and conveniant stores to spend a few dollars for there chance to win big and strike it rich. I decided to try it out by spending a dollar to get a lottery ticket. I doubt if I'm going to win, but I gave it a try anyway. So I decided to put this in a story. LOTTERY It was a usual day for us. Me and Billy were walking home from work, passing by grocery stores, we were waiting to get home so we can get online and read our E-mail, and perhaps, snailmail. As we passed, I brought up the big lottery jackpot, it was 45 Million Dollars. "Hey, Billy, You know about the Lottery? It's 45 Million Dollars." I said to Him. "Maybe we should buy a ticket." Said Billy. "Oh come on, You know we never win on this." I replied. "You never know, Eddie. Come on, it's only a dollar, and You get 2 games. We can share the winnings." Said Billy, smiling. "Okay, Billy, You win, let's go get a lottery ticket." I said turning to the grocery store. I took out a card and filled out the numbers. I then gave it to the cashier who processed the card and gave Me the ticket for a dollar. I then started to walk out, with the ticket in hand, and Billy followed. "Okay, I got the ticket, let's wish ourselves good luck." I said. "Good Luck, hope we win." Said Billy. "Let's not forget that Jamal invited us and the rest of the team to His house. It's our day off, so let's be ready by 4:30 P.M so we can catch an express train." I said. "That's a Q train." Said Billy. "Right." I said. We separated and walked home. The next day, I met Billy again and caught the Q train on time. We got off at Atlantic Ave, and walked a few blocks to Jamal's House. Grandma CeCe welcomed us and told us that Jamal was upstairs, and so was the rest of the team. I walked in with a smile, Jamal greeted us, "Hey, Eddie, Billy, what's up?" "Big Money is up, Jamal. Tonight is the Drawing for a big jackpot," Said Billy, smiling. "It's 45 million dollars" I said. "Wow! That's a lot of money!" Said Hector. "It sure is, I'm going to tell You what we plan to do if we win, and I think You'll like it, all of You." I said. "Like what is it?" Asked Alex. "It's $20,000 to each of You, You can do whatever You want with it." I said "That's enough to buy a car." Said Jamal. "Yes it is, and what will I do with My share of the winnings? Well, I'd like to go back to Disneyworld before the 25th anniversary is over for a good amount of time, like a month. That will surely give Me enough time to see all the attaraction at a nice pace. It will sort of become My 'home away from home'. I'll also use some of the money to go visit My family in the south. After that I can choose a very excellent job and make more money. I'll be like like Scrooge McDuck from Disney's Ducktales!" I said. Then Billy described His dream -"Well, that's Eddie's winning plan, I think I'll go with Him to Disneyworld and then go visit My family too." He said happily. "You two sure have dreams." Said Gaby. Ghostwriter somehow sensed our happiness and rearranged some letters spelling out, "Good Luck, Eddie and Billy" "Even Ghostwriter wishes You luck," said Tina. "I just can't wait to win this drawing," Said Billy. "Don't get too overconfident, Billy. The chances are one in about 12 million." I said. "Yeah, how would You know we were going to win?" Asked Jamal. "I'm just feeling more lucky than anyone else here." Said Billy "Well, good luck, Billy." Said Alex. The team didn't buy any tickets because they couldn't spare a dollar or two like I could. If they bought the ticket, they'd feel dissappointed that the waisted a dollar. If we did win, we would have payed the team $120,000. We had a similar conversation with the Planeteers via the Wrist Communicator, and they were excited too. Mate wished us all the luck He could give us. Billy kept His fingers crossed. We got home in time to watch the drawing. If we would win, Billy would contact Me via wrist communicator. We watched the drawing, and we didn't win the big jackpot, but we did hit two numbers. That allowed us to get a free lottery ticket. As soon as the drawing was over, Billy contacted Me. "Awww we didn't win, but we got a free ticket." Said Billy "You see, Billy, but I know about the free ticket. We'll save it for the time when another big jackpot hits in." I said "Well, good night Eddie, we didn't win, but we're still friends." Said Billy. "Sure are, goodnight." I sad, hanging up My wrist communicator. Well, You see, when You get a lottery ticket, You can't be too overconfident about winning because the odds are stacked against You. Billy asked Me to buy a ticket and after the drawing I said, "See Billy, we didn't win." Well, hey, You never know. If You are an avid lottery player, or know someone who play the lotto regularly, wish 'em good luck! Planeteer6@aol.com
